My Favorite Things About Fall

It is officially October, which means it is time again to do whatever it is you enjoy doing in these Fall months. For me, that means enjoying a cup of hot chocolate whilst being all bundled up in blankets with my family while binge-watching NCIS or whatever else is on TV.

Of course, there are many other things that I enjoy doing in the Fall, but that is just the ideal situation that pops into mind when I think about Fall. Today I would like to share with you some of my favorite things to do and enjoy in the Fall, whether they be at home or around my hometown.

Headless Horseman: A staple family favorite in the up-and-coming city of Fishers. A haunted hayride through the spooky forest on the grounds of Connor Prairie with the possibility of crossing paths with the Headless Horseman.

Before the ride, there are so many other fun opportunities like a puppet show about the Legend of Sleepy Hollow or the cartoon, along with numerous delicious eats including some fantastic pumpkin donuts. It is by far one of my most favorite things to do in the Fall.

Fall Walks: I really enjoy going on walks in the fall. I get the opportunity to take in all the beauty of the fall weather. I also enjoy taking my camera with me to continue fueling my love of nature photography.

Apple Cider and Hot Cocoa: A cup of warm apple cider or hot cocoa on a chilly Fall evening is one of my absolute favorite things. Just the feeling of warm fuzzies you feel as it fills your heart and soul with such happiness and warmth makes it so special; even before the fantastic taste.

Fall Fashion: Whether it be sweaters, jean jackets or simply splashes of yellow, red green or gold, I live for Fall fashion. Although I cannot say with utmost certainty that my current wardrobe reflects my love of autumnal vibes, I hope that maybe by the end of the season it does (stay tuned for updates on that).

The Whole Fall “Vibe”: I think my absolute favorite thing about Fall, is actually the feelings it brings. Fall means its time to get into the family-oriented spirit to prepare for the holidays. It brings cozy thoughts and crowded cravings. It brings happiness and togetherness, at least for me. So I personally think Fall is the most exciting time of the year. It’s essentially the pre-party for the holiday pep session; it brings the hype before it happens.

The holidays can sometimes be overwhelming, so I feel that Fall is really a good time to appreciate what the holidays are all about before they arrive, that way I don’t lose sight of why they’re really significant. I think that is why I adore Thanksgiving. Whether you celebrate it or not, I still feel like Fall is a wonderful time to be thankful and to send some extra love to the people who mean the most to you.
