I have dealt with acne pretty much my whole life, and I have been using most of these products going on two years now and I have found great success with them. These are the products I use on my face to keep it as clear as possible, and I am in love with them.
I have moderately oily and sensitive skin. I personally feel that my pores are ginormous which is why I think I have struggled with acne so much. These are the things that I use to help tame any unwanted red spots, pimples, and any other facial pests that come to visit.
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash
This is one of the few facial cleansers that has actually worked for me. Most others I have tried have had no effect or led me to even more breakouts. I love this one, it smells good, feels good and no excessive breakouts, yay! You can find it at your local Target or Walmart, or typically wherever drugstore beauty is sold.
Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush
I wasn’t getting my face clean enough just by using my hands or a washcloth, so I decided to try this super fancy rotating head cleansing brush from Mary Kay for $50. I really like this product because once I’m done my face really does feel much cleaner. I also feel like this is a really fair price for such a great product compared to similar versions of the same product that are around $100. You can shop it here.
Mary Kay Clear Proof Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask
Another Mary Kay product that I consider a lifesaver is this charcoal mask. I am not going to lie, I have tried so many products like this and I have found no success with them. This one is for sure a keeper. Once you take it off, you can actually see the difference (I know this sounds like one of those cheesy commercials but stay with me here). If you want to really see how it loosens up the dirt in your face, you can use a pore strip afterward. Pore strips don’t usually work for me due to how much dirt is crammed into each of my pores there is no getting it out, but after using the charcoal mask they come right out. Honestly, this is one of the best products I’ve ever used. You can shop it here.
Mary Kay TimeWise Poor Minimizer
Another product I love from Mary Kay is their pore minimizer. I have wanted to try Benefit’s POREfessional face primer for quite some time, but I decided to give this one a try instead since you get a little more product for a little less money and I have to say I am really impressed with this product. Shop it here.
Lush Cup O’ Coffee Face and Body Mask
I received this amazing product as a Christmas gift, which you may have read about in my What I Got for Christmas post, and I am already so obsessed with it. It is so refreshing and the perfect little pick-me-up just like the famed drink itself. If you are a coffee lover like me, you will enjoy getting to sit back and relax with the smell of coffee flooding your senses. Shop it here.
Lush Charity Pot Body Lotion
Another Lush product I adore is this lotion. Other than the fact I love the product itself, I also love that the money spent goes toward organizations that are helping with efforts of environmental conservation, animal welfare, and human rights, hence the name Charity Pot. I use this lotion after I shave my legs and whenever my skin feels a little dry. It is so creamy and smooth and the only body lotion I think I have ever used with a purpose. You can shop it here.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
This lotion was actually recommended to me by my dermatologist. I use this exclusively on my face. It is specifically for people with dry and sensitive skin. It has worked so well for me and it hasn’t caused me to break out so I give it a 10/10. An excellent face lotion. You can pick it up at your local Target or Walmart.
Garnier Skinactive Micellar Cleansing Water
I’m more of a makeup remover wipe kind of girl simply because most makeup remover that comes in bottles are usually so greasy. The Micellar Cleansing Water isn’t like that. It is so light and not at all greasy. I have seen it all over the beauty side of the internet so I decided to try it out and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Just pour a little on a cotton ball and it takes it all off. I have the travel size, but larger bottles are available. You can also find this one at Target and Walmart.
