A Shoutout to My Mom

Happy Mothers Day!

If you are a mother out there, I hope you’re having an absolutely wonderful day surrounded by your loved ones.

Since today is mother’s day, I wanted to talk a little about my mom. First of all, she’s pretty much the best mom ever, but I mean it’s not like I’m biased or anything. Really though, I’m so happy that my mom, is mine. Let me tell you a little about her.

She is so loving. She cares so much about other people, it makes me strive to be as loving as she is.

She is the best listener. You can probably assume based on how much I write per blog post, I love to ramble on and on when I have something to say. My mom sits there through it all. She gives her feedback and lets me know that she cares what I have to say, even if she really doesn’t care about it that much, she still listens because she loves me.

She is my Mama Bear. She is my protector. She encourages me to stand up for myself and has stood up for me and my sister against unfair teachers and peers our whole lives.

I used to hate it when she would interfere, even if she was right that I was being treated unfairly. Just recently my mom interfered in a situation that I know would have gone differently if she hadn’t. The way I felt in that situation alone justified her actions not to mention other factors that had affected my whole family. Mama Bear is always there for me and I am so glad that she is.

She is supportive of me and my goals. Whatever I have wanted to do, she has always supported me. Even with this whole blogging thing. She reads my blog posts, helps me take photos, and helps me brainstorm content ideas.

I don’t feel like blogging as a career, or even as something on the side, is easy for a technologically challenged parent (her words, not mine, I promise!) to understand, but she endlessly gives me her support regardless because she knows it is something I love.

She is my best friend. No one in this world knows me better than her. We always make each other laugh and always have such a good time together. Whether it be emergency Dunkin’ runs, or therapy shopping at Target, there is never a dull moment. Our bond is something not many people understand. I have always told my mom everything, and because of this our bond is undeniably strong, and it will never be broken.

Mom,

Happy Mother’s day! I love you so much and I am so glad that you are my Mama Bear. Thank you for always being so supportive of me, taking care of me and my sister, and knowing when I need hugs the most. You are the best mama I could’ve ever asked for. Thank you for being my best friend and guiding me through this world.

I love you to the moon and back.

Love,
